Section 2: Before Your CORE

Anyone can facilitate a CORE if they have a heart to help women and a willingness to partner with us in following the guidelines we’ve laid out for you. As a facilitator, you agree to offer the full four-day Captivating CORE experience, adhering to the details, and not adding to, or subtracting from, any of the content. You also agree to provide us with feedback so we can continue to improve CORE for future events.

Choose Your Date
Important: Captivating CORE requires four days (Typically, Thursday afternoon through Sunday at noon is the most convenient time frame).

Choose Your Participants
This guide is designed for a group of four to eight women, but it will work for any size. 

Choose Your Location
This is a full-immersion experience. Part of your role as facilitator is to create a distraction-free and unplugged environment where women can encounter God. However, we also understand that women are busy. Here are a few recommendations for locations, and remember that the ideal place is a facility that allows women to be removed from everyday life:

• Borrow or rent a cabin or VRBO — just consider the need for wifi or make sure all of the sessions are downloaded ahead of time
• Your home — but try to coordinate for your pets, kids and husbands to leave so there is as little distraction as possible
• Rent a facility that also takes care of all meals or allows outside catering (for example, renting out a B&B) These are expenses that can be passed onto the attendees as part of the registration fee. 
• As a last resort, and if you're struggling to find an option with enough sleeping space, the women can go home to sleep and come back the next day. It is important to allow time before the first session the following day for worship so that they can re-center and settle back into the event.

**IMPORTANT: When you agree to facilitate a Captivating CORE, you're agreeing to maintain the look and feel of a Captivating event—including the integrity and use of the CORE logo. 

lf you plan to create materials beyond what CORE provides, it's important you:

• Only use the CORE logo provided—without adding or taking away any design elements
• Not create your own Captivating CORE logo or hybrid design
• Remember, although this is a local gathering, it is part of a larger movement that already has an established look and feel.
