Free to be Me - Part 3

Free to Be Me - Part 2

Friendships are beautiful...and messy. Especially for teen girls. In the second of three podcasts inspired by Stasi's new book Free to Be Me, she discusses the topic of teen friendship with some dads from the Wild at Heart team.

Free to Be Me - Part 1

Stasi shares from her new book, Free to Be Me, about how a teen girl can become the young woman God created her to be. In this first of three podcasts, Stasi gets to the heart of the matter—which, by the way, is all about a girl's heart

The Story You Find Yourself In

How do you live well in a story that is not going as you hoped? Craig McConnell shares how the relapse of his cancer is shaping his story and his intimacy with God.

The Poser

Recorded live at a Boot Camp in Colorado, Craig McConnell pull off his own “fig leaf” to help get to the root of the poser, and discover the true man buried inside. There are few things a man fears more than exposure… being found out. Why do most men feel shrinkage around the mechanic, their accountant, or their wife? When thrown into a group of strong men, what causes men to offer everything but who they truly are? What would it be like to be free of the ducking, the dodging, the hiding? What would it be like to be true? After you listen to the Poser session, we encourage you to take some time to be with God, and reflect on these questions with him: 1. Until you see how you’re posing; until you know how you’re living out a counterfeit masculinity, you’ll never choose or pursue a genuine one. Ask yourself, how do you hide? How are you posing?  2. How is God disrupting your life to expose the poser?  3. What words would you use to describe yourself right now at this point in your life? Would you use words like courageous, strong, loving, passionate, dangerous, or genuine?4. What words would those who know you use to describe you? Do you have the courage to ask them what words they would use? What do you fear they would say?

01 – From Wild at Heart Boot Camp

Session 1: Recorded Live at a Wild at Heart Boot CampAsk the men you know to name their favorite movies. Nine times out of ten, they will be stories of great battles, fought against desperate odds.God set this desire in the heart of every man because every man will find himself in a great battle. The Bible promises it is so. We live in a world at war, an epic struggle of good and evil begun before the dawn of time. Learning how to fight in this battle is essential for every man.Recorded live at our Wild at Heart Boot Camp, John Eldredge explains the place of spiritual warfare in our lives, how to identify it, and more importantly, how to win against our adversary. This teaching has set countless men (and women) free. After you listen to the Battle to Fight session, we encourage you to take some time to be with God, and reflect on these questions with him:1. What are the agreements? As Jesus to reveal to you…Lord, what agreements have I been making with my enemy? Now, renounce them; break them.2. Ask Jesus to reveal to you… Lord, what is set against my life right now? What is it that I am battling with that is, in fact, the enemy’s assault on my life?

Part 1 – Live Teaching

Part 1 – Are you living as a son...or an orphan?Do you know God as a generous, strong and intimate Father? Have you ever received a spirit of Sonship? That is your destiny. Because God's desire is for us to walk in the strength and dignity of our inheritance as sons of God.So why do we live with core beliefs counter to this? Most men's internal world goes something like:I am on my own.If anything good is going to happen it's up to me to make it happen I need to be the strongest man in my world. Why is life so damn hard? In this transforming teaching, Morgan Snyder illuminates one of the central invitations of the Gospel—to forsake independence and fatherlessness. To receive God as Father. And to become the son we were intended to be.After you listen to the Sonship session, we encourage you to take some time to be with God, and reflect on these questions with him:1.    What does the father want to say to you right now as his son?2.    When did the false reality of fatherlessness become a core belief in your story?3.    What ways and through what people has God been fathering you in the last year? The last decade?

01 – Rescuing the Beauty

Part 1: Rescuing the Beauty (recorded live at a Wild at Heart Boot Camp) – For a long time now we’ve wanted to speak to men – on the record – about issues men wrestle with when it comes to women and beauty and sexuality. But how to approach the subject in a way both honest and helpful? We think we've finally done it.After you listen to the Men Talking About Women session, we encourage you to take some time to be with God, and reflect on these questions with him:1. Most men turn to Eve for validation. And, at some time in our lives, we have taken our question to Eve. How has that been true for you? What is the fruit of that? What does it feel like to take your question to Eve? What is it you are looking for from Eve?2. We’re looking for mercy, love, comfort, life…we’re looking for God. When is the pull strongest for you to turn to pornography, masturbation, fantasies? What’s going on inside of you in those moments?

Part 1

Part 1 – How does a man become a man--and know that he is one? For centuries, boys and men followed a process of masculine initiation, a journey God put in the heart of every boy. But we lost that, about the same time we lost a father-centered view of the world, and lost so many of our own fathers. Most men, and most boys growing up these days, have no man to guide them in their journey to become a man. But there is hope.Join John Eldredge as he reveals how God comes to a man as Father, and invites him on a journey of masculine initiation. John walks through the stages of the journey – from Boyhood to the Cowboy, the Warrior, the Lover, the King, the Sage – and shows us how we can offer this to our sons as well.

Part 2 – With John Eldredge

Part 2: The New Name with John Eldredge – Explore your New Name through the teaching of John Eldredge, recorded live at a Wild at Heart Boot Camp. Our journey involves a continuation of the healing of our wounds and the breaking of agreements and scripts we've adapted for our lives. As we begin to see ourselves as God sees us, and to embrace all that the full work of Christ has accomplished, we begin to believe and experience a new identity – a new name – so that we can find our place in God's Larger Story. After you listen to the New Name session, we encourage you to take some time to be with God, and reflect on these questions with him:1. God is at work in your life. And, one of the things God is doing is bringing us to a point where we want to see ourselves as God sees us. How does God see you right now? What words would you use to describe who you are? What names have you embraced that others have given you?2. Ask God: What do you have to say to me right now? How do you see me? What name do you have for me?

The Heart of a Man

What have you done with your heart as a man? Deep in the heart of every man are three core desires: 1. To fight a great battle. 2. To live in an epic adventure. 3. To rescue the beauty. In this powerful resource, John Eldredge awakens the heart of a man and illuminates the battle, the adventure, and the beauty... the Life that is truly life. All men die. Few men ever really live. What kind of man do you want to be?After you listen to the Heart of a Man session, we encourage you to take some time to be with God, and reflect on these questions with him:1. Think of the movies that you love. What are your favorite films? Then, think about why you love those movies. What does the hero have that you wish you could have?  2. If Jesus were sitting next to you right now, and you could ask him to do anything in the world for you right now, what would you ask him?

Part 1: The Battle for Your Child’s Heart (LIVE)

John Eldredge reframes parenting as a spiritual act of war—not against your children, but for them. Drawing from foundational teachings at the Wild at Heart Retreat, John offers a powerful reimagining of fatherhood, motherhood, and the emotional landscape our children navigate. Parents hold astonishing power in the lives of their kids—power to validate, bless, pursue, and fight for their hearts with intentionality and grace. This message is packed with insight, humor, and urgency. It will challenge you to ask: What is the Christianity I’m inviting my kids into? A life of control and conformity—or freedom, beauty, and intimacy with God?

Part 2

Part 2 – How does a man become a man--and know that he is one? After you listen to The Stages of the Masculine Journey audio teachings, we encourage you to take some time to be with God, and reflect on these questions with him:1. Where do you feel that you are in the six stages?2. Where do you feel that you didn’t get what you needed? Where do you need God to come back and fill in for you?

Part 2

Part 2 – In Epic: The Larger Story, John Eldredge suggests that life, for most of us, feels like a movie we've arrived to forty minutes late. We find ourselves in the middle of a story that is sometimes wonderful, sometimes awful, but usually a confusing mixture of both. And, we haven't a clue how to make sense of it all. No wonder we keep losing heart. We need to know the rest of the story. Ours is a great story that began before the dawn of time. A story of adventure, risk, loss, heroism, and betrayal. This audio teaching is the Gospel like you've never heard it before. There is a Larger Story. And you have an irreplaceable role to play. After you listen to the Epic session, we encourage you to take some time to be with God, and reflect on these questions with him:1. Do you live like you are a part of a larger story?2. If not, then how do you look at life? Is it random? Is it drudgery? Is it routine?3. If you could live in a larger story, what story do you want to live in?
