Part 6
Part 6 – The Scriptures talk a lot about prayer, but we’re left wondering what to do with it or, more importantly, how to do it. At least, how to do it in a way that works – meaning, that it actually brings about change. But that’s what prayer is supposed to do! When Jesus teaches us to pray “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done,” he means precisely that – that our prayers can enable the Kingdom of God to come for his will to be done “on earth as it is in heaven” – here and now. In The Hope of Prayer 8-part series, John Eldredge teaches us how to pray with hope and confidence. There are few thoughts as hopeful as the thought that things can be different. And so the disciples said, “Teach us to pray.”

Part 4
What kind of man is Jesus—really? In the final episode of The Life of Jesus, John Eldredge continues through the Gospel of John, revealing the compelling, disruptive, and profoundly beautiful character of Jesus. From walking on water to raising Lazarus from the dead, from his profound grief in Gethsemane to his playful breakfast on the beach after the resurrection, Jesus’ actions continue to challenge our assumptions and stir our hearts. You’ll encounter Jesus’ kindness, humility, grief, outrage, and joy—as well as his unmatched ability to love even in agony. But it doesn’t end there. John unpacks how the same life that animated Jesus is now made available to us. This isn’t about admiring a distant Savior or striving to imitate him on our own strength. It’s about learning to live his life from within—by abiding in him, drawing life from the vine, and discovering the secret to the easy yoke.To grow in intimacy with Jesus and recover your heart, visit wildatheart.org and explore the Wild at Heart Experience or dive into other free resources from John Eldredge and the team.

Major & Minor Themes | Part 2
Part 2 continues the conversation on suffering and healing, shifting the focus toward the major theme—the resurrection power of Jesus and the tangible healing He offers now.John Eldredge and the team delve deeper into what it means to resist resignation, recognize spiritual warfare, and ask God the right questions—not “why is this happening?” but “what do You want to do here, Lord?” Through stories of physical healing, emotional breakthroughs, and spiritual battles, the team testifies to the truth of Romans 8: the Spirit of life has set us free from the law of sin and death. This episode invites us to reclaim a Gospel that includes victory—that Jesus not only died but rose, and so shall we. It’s a call to fight for life, to invite God’s presence into our suffering, and to remember that the major theme of our story is not loss, but resurrection. If you’ve settled for mere survival, this episode will reignite your hope.

77 | Quit Learning, Start Learning
We roped in And Sons strategist Jon Dale to riff on a growing concern. It’s education. Problem is, when most folks think of education, they think of mining textbooks for answers other people already know, taking multiple choice tests and reading dusty books, all because they have to. In short, we think of the system designed to make industrial workers for a world that doesn’t want industrial workers any more. In this episode, we discuss the alternative: how to love problem solving, how to fail, and how to love of the unknown. If you grew up (like we did) in a public education system that, however well-intentioned, remains rife with problems, it’s not too late to start learning.

A Holy Defiance
Joy is not happiness on steroids; it's the unyielding belief that sorrow and loss do not have the final say. In this second of four podcasts, Stasi Eldredge reads Chapter 1 from her new book, Defiant Joy.

76 | Choose Difficult Things
When it comes to our daily rhythms, we tend to drift into paths with less resistance and difficulty than others. Life is hard enough as it is, so why wouldn't we choose to ease off where we can? The problem is that that posture can bleed into every aspect of our lives, until we avoid anything that seems too difficult or like too much work. Sam and Blaine share about places they are choosing difficult things for the sake of life, their families, and God.

Let Hope Rise

Strategy is an abused word for a vital concept. In this episode, we sat down with our friend and longtime pro-strategist Anthony Ashley to get to the root of the discipline: what is strategy, what’s it made of, and how do we use strategy as a paradigm to structure our world. Listen for tools to assess immediate strengths and weaknesses, build good goals, and refine the unique approach the corresponds to the personality of any person or team. From the history of warfare to the formation of a dream, building companies to developing character, strategy’s the proven toolkit for it all.

32 – The Invitation – 9/26/2018
9/26/2018: The Invitation – Christianity all turns on an invitation from the Lord of all. Matthew 11:28 says “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. To "come" means: to draw nearer, to move toward, move with a purpose, to advance, to go forward, rise in rank. You are invited to draw near. You are invited to drink of the living water, to rest in Jesus, to know Him and to follow Him. An Invitation has been extended to us ultimately to believe that the Gospel is all true. God is who He says He is and we are who He says we are. Join Stasi as she gently reminds us of the invitations given us by Jesus to "Come". 74 | Hank Shaw: Wild Game Gourmet
We've got a few books stacked around the office that we like to flip through for inspiration, and Hank Shaw's "Buck, Buck, Moose" has had a spot on our desk for a while now. Shaw is a forager, angler, hunter, and chef, who combines all of his experience to pretty staggering effect. His journey out of political writing and into the ethics and better use of wild food would be worth an episode on its own, but throw in his knowledge of the culinary world and you've got something even more enticing. To read more by Shaw check out his blog: https://honest-food.net
