I have known Jim for almost 25 years. I have had the unique experience of being a friend and beneficiary of his mentoring over these many years. Rarely do we meet people who truly fill that "iron sharpening iron" role; and I know of no-one better suited for that role in the lives of men, than Jim. It is one thing to "learn" a skill; it is quite another thing for a man to possess natural talent, and God given gifts that hone that talent. Jim has been blessed with natural talent, and a God given passion that drives him towards coming along side of men as they walk their journeys. He provides unique and empathetic insight into a man's heart; and like a skilled surgeon, he detects the deeper chambers where true healing is needed. Almost two decades ago, I met Jim for the first time that resulted in a season of coaching and mentoring that radically altered the entire course of my life. Jim introduced me to the Wild at Heart message, and during this season he created a trusting space for me to understand my story while offering his strength and counsel.
