Name: Sages and Kings

Monthly gathering of men seeking to connect generations and deepen our faith through the sharing of our story.

Jeremiah 6:16New International Version (NIV)

16 This is what the Lord says:

“Stand at the crossroads and look;
    ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
    and you will find rest for your souls.

When: Monthly TBD.

Where:  770 West McMillan, Meridian, Idaho.  Gravel driveway.

Who will Speak?:  Various Sages.  Guys who have been there and done that and have walk the Ancient paths.

Why:  Sages and Kings have two objectives.

1.      Honor.

a.       The generation that has lived, worked, loved, and labored before us has fought for a better way, has much to offer, and declares the mighty acts of God.

Too often society casts away these elders in the community.  The effect has been devastating; lost experience, repeated mistakes, and often produces Men who walk without God.  We (the Kings) are inviting the Sage to speak while we honor them by sitting at their feet and listening.

2.      Walk and be Fathered by God

a.       As Kings we have made some money, generally have some power, and have been successful.  What we do next with our questions have become critical.  What do we do with our subordinates at work?  How do we spend the Christmas bonus?  How do we walk with God --  with our questions?  Have we invited the Father to Father us in our questions, actions, and eventual decisions?

What else do I need to know:  Come as you are.  Bring a beverage (barely malt, milk, soda, water, wine, beer etc..) to enjoy and one to share.  Invite a friend, and come expecting to enhance your walk with God.

These men genuinely pursue fellowship with other men in a way that is not religious, but where men can show up as their authentic selves, and where we can focus on prayer, scripture, and a relationship with Christ that is truly integrated in our day-to-day. Bryan is a great mentor, facilitator, ally and fellow brother in Christ.
