A man needs a deeper understanding of his masculine heart—and why God made him just like that. What if those deep desires in our hearts are telling us the truth, revealing to us the lives we were meant to live? A man must know he is powerful; he must know he has what it takes. The way we handle the heart is everything. Basic is not a retreat about the “seven things a man ought to do to be a nicer guy.” It is a four-day quest into the recovery of a man’s masculine soul, the release of a man’s heart—his passions and his true nature—all given him by God.

Accommodations: Overnight lodging will be in hotel-style rooms, meeting space in an exclusive conference room, and a private dining experience. You can request a roommate, otherwise roommates will be assigned.

We will be spending the weekend on nestled in the foothills of North Georgia's beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains at Woodlands Camp and Retreat Center. Woodlands is a 131-acre portrait of rolling hills, beautiful forests, and a spring-fed lake. It is a place where you can build lifelong friendships, develop unforgettable memories, and get to know the God who created it all. Woodlands has been partnering with ministries like ours since 1997 to provide unforgettable experiences where God’s presence is so significant that culture and its influences are drowned out.
Free time is built into the retreat on Friday and Saturday afternoons. On-site and nearby activities are available including field games, hiking, swimming, fishing, river tubing, etc. An adventure activity is also included (zipline, giant swing). You may want to bring a hammock and find a quiet spot by a lake or in the woods to rest and soak in God’s beauty. In the evenings we will have a campfire.
This event is best experienced off the grid, and we ask that you plan to arrive ready to unplug for the weekend. We promise you won’t regret it, and your texts and e-mails will still be there on Sunday afternoon.
