They left, running, and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in the manger. Seeing was believing. They told everyone they met what the angels had said about this child. All who heard the sheepherders were impressed. (Luke 2:17-18, MSG)

You’ve probably noticed in your email inbox that the title of this Daily Reading has changed! If you missed our announcement in the June 15th daily reading (many folks end up missing or skipping a few days), allow us to explain...

Just like the shepherds, everyone who has a life-changing encounter with Jesus develops a burning passion to let others know what they’ve found, help them come into the same intimate encounter with our God. We sure feel that way! Jesus has shown us so many beautiful treasures in the healing of human hearts that we want to tell the world! Our passion is to bring this beautiful Gospel we’ve been entrusted with to a much, much wider audience.

But we have been having some trouble doing that.

In fact, the story began with this Daily Reading. Two years ago I asked our team to do some “marketing” for this wonderful, free devotional, build a wider audience for it, and draw folks into an awareness of everything Ransomed Heart offers. They came back and said, “The problem is with the name Ransomed Heart—nobody knows who that is. They don’t know it's connected with John and Stasi Eldredge. Can we use Wild at Heart? Millions of people recognize that name!”

It got us thinking and praying about some of the obstacles we’ve had growing the audience for our podcast, too, and all the things we do. After a lot of prayer and many conversations with other ministries and consultants, we decided to seize our most widely recognized “brand name” and rename the ministry Wild at Heart.

Other than that, we are the same folks you’ve come to know and love—same message, same mission for both men and women. With a burning passion to reach the world.
