Looking for allies? We invite you to join us for Socratic Scripture Studies on Thursdays! These studies are conducted via Zoom from 7-9 PM Central Standard Time. No ongoing commitment is required, so feel free to check out a study and participate in others going forward if you so choose.

Led by Mandy and Scott, an extroverted teacher and a Hebrew-and-Greek-loving nerd, a Socratic Scripture Study involves a small group diving into a specific passage of the Living Word and exploring the richness of it by looking at some of the wildly expansive and beautiful Hebrew and/or Greek meanings of words as they appear in the original text and then connecting the passage to participants’ lives. (Mandy & Scott do the research and prep surrounding the meanings/significance of the key words and ideas in the passage.) While traditional Bible studies often involve one person doing most of the speaking, a Socratic Scripture Study involves the facilitators guiding the time of study through the frequent use of questions which encourages participants to share their real-time insights, stories, and revelations from God with the group.
