John's New Book - Chapter 1

In celebration of the June 7th release of Resilient, John reads the first chapter: I Just Want Life to Be Good Again.

Return to God

In the conclusion to this three-part series, John and Craig talk about how we can run to God for life rather than turn to our idols.

Blessing Our Bodies

How do we perceive our bodies? Treat them? What do we say when we look in the mirror? The way we feel about our bodies rests deep in our stories. But what does God think about them? Friends, God does not just tolerate our bodies, he delights in them! For many of us, the idea of delighting in our bodies is counter-cultural. This week, Stasi sits down with Stacey Burton to talk about their journey with their bodies, their relationship with food, and the importance of blessing our bodies—a beautiful temple bestowed by God.

Recapture Our Hearts

In Part 2 of this series on idolatry, John and Craig McConnell offer tools to expose the idols in our lives and reveal God's steadfast pursuit of our hearts.

Keep Yourself From Idols

In the first of this three-part series that first aired in 2016, John and Craig McConnell talk about the ways we try to satisfy our souls and the dangers of idolatry.

You Belong

We all have a core need to belong. As infants, we seek this secure belonging through our parents and caregivers, primarily from our mothers, and this attachment frames our sense of belonging throughout our lives. Join Stasi as she shares this hopeful message on what it means to belong to God, who is our El Shaddai—the One who provides all that we need, who cares for us, and who lovingly says to us, Daughter, you are mine, and you belong. God is our essential attachment, and our soul coming home. Show Notes:Verses: Romans 12:5 (NIV) — so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.Psalm 23:1 (TPT) —  Yahweh is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough. Isaiah 44:5 (NIV) — Some will say, ‘I belong to the Lord’; others will call themselves by the name of Jacob; still others will write on their hand, ‘The Lord’s,’ and will take the name Israel.Deuteronomy 8:7-9 (NIV) — For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills; a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills.Quote: J. I. Packer from Knowing God “What matters supremely, therefore, is not, in the last analysis, the fact that I know God, but the larger fact which underlies it—the fact that He knows me. I am graven on the palms of His hands; I am never out of His mind. “

We Will Overcome

By remembering what is true, we hold onto the Promise that everlasting joy is our inheritance. As we step into Easter, Stasi reminds us that even in the midst of overwhelming heartbreak, Jesus is victorious, and in that, our hope rests.
