Rest in Being Known
Today's Daily Reading is from Stasi's new book The Ladder of Love, available now — order your copy today!
This isn’t about yet another thing you have to do in order to become— you name it. No. It’s about responding to an invitation from Jesus to reveal to you who He is with more clarity, color, and depth, and to reveal to you who you are with awe and wonder. It’s an invitation to discover the buoying love of God in the midst of life’s floods.
I’d love for you to take a moment and check in with your heart. Take an internal assessment. Right now wherever you are: sitting at home or standing in a bookstore aisle. How are you now? Put some words to it.
I’m imagining that many of you are feeling scattered, perhaps overwhelmed by the demands and circumstances of life and the “all” that is required of you. Maybe you’re feel- ing weary. Perhaps you’re feeling excited and expectant. Maybe simply curious. Or maybe you are hurting and desperate. You are not alone in any of that. We are living full and busy lives in the midst of a glorious and very broken world. Mercy to you. My prayer is that this book will be nourishing to your heart, soul, and spirit.
So take a moment and just honestly check in. Name it. Take note. Honor where you are. It matters. You matter.
God’s love changes everything, and to know God is to love Him. We are meant to know Him, and we are meant to rest in being known.
