My son and I began attending the Battle Ready event 4 years ago. We are out of state and heard about this through the Allies Network. Several things are remarkable about this event: 1. This group will drive 8-9 hours to get away from the big city, the noise, the everyday business, and journey to a mountain retreat where one can be refreshed by the "God Made Stuff" (mountains, rivers, trails). 2. A chance to hang with guys that are not there to impress you with their spirituality, but rather, share a common hunger to find their lives in Christ. 3. Really intense teaching on man issues (5-6 sessions), and the journey of being Fathered by God and including the healing of our wounds. My son and I especially enjoy this in a non-religious setting. 4. The chance to just play as men (paintball, horse back riding, fishing, etc.). Finally, if your Southeastern US located mens group or Church doesn't have a yearly mens event to get away, debrief, refresh,refocus, and play, then consider partnering with the Battle Ready Men.

11 years strong and primed to expand this message. Encouraging pastors and men's ministry leaders to calendar this now and plan to join us next year.
