Scott and Mandy have the best Bible study I have been to. They pick good verses to discuss, and know what questions to ask, plus the entire group is a great group and adds context to the conversation!

It has a been a true blessing to me to find the study led by Scott and Mandy. Their knowledge of scripture and the Hebrew language is vast and so helpful. But it is their personality and gifts in leading the study that keep my wife and I coming back. How kind it is of God to gift us with a relationship with these two so many miles apart. Scott and Mandy are passionate followers of Jesus. It comes through clearly in how they teach and interact. Their studies are deep, thought provoking and encouraging. With a wonderful grasp of original language, they pull a level of depth and meaning from the scriptures that just aren’t always easily seen in a casual reading of a passage in English. They consistently have shown me context and meaning in passages that I have never noticed and used it to help explain the deep love of the Father for His children. This is a wonderful, spirit-filled study full of knowledge, love and encouragement.

I’ve had the great pleasure of the skills of Scott in the nature of Socratic study of the Scriptures. It always opens the Scriptures Bradley and deeply. It’s amazing after 40 years plus of studying God‘s word so much more is there to be found in this method. With the shut down I was able to take advantage of some of the zoom meetings because I am in Arizona and Scott’s in Minnesota. The fellowship and understanding or so meaningful during this period of time. As well it has been incredible to share the time with his beautiful wife in these studies.

I have heard it said that Christianity in N America is 5000 miles wide and 3 inches deep. This Socratic Scripture method of Bible study turns this statement upside-down. It plumbs the depth of Scripture like no other and uncovers amazing treasures hidden behind our translations to reveal the beautiful intentions of our God reaching out to us. It is amazing to learn about and understand the Hebrew/Greek meanings behind the words. And fun to do it with this lovely eclectic group of followers from all over N America.

I LOVE Scott and Mandy's weekly Socratic Bible Study sessions. First, because the entire focus and goal of the sessions is to come into closer contact with God, from the opening chit chat to the prayer to the study to the closing. Second, because their approach helps me to discover new ideas through a close study of the text and hearing the thoughts of other people. They do not tell us what to think but rather ask questions and give information that sheds light (the Hebrew meanings of words, other areas where the same word or idea comes up, New Testament connections, etc). It is truly socratic. Third, because of their partnership and the way they work together; they are the embodiment of how different approaches combine to make something better than the two parts. Fourth, because of the chance to meet and get to know people from all over the country and the world. Scott and Mandy are able to create and maintain a space where points of unity and growth as a community leave no room for the kind of division that we see too often in the world. I could go on and on but suffice to say - try it out!

I have a great deal of love and respect for Scott and Mandy. I participated in several studies throughout 2020 and was thoroughly blessed by their teachings and insights as we dove into Scripture passages! Both of them have amazing personalities that drew me in and kept me captivated as I participated. Mandy is such a beautiful person. I truly enjoyed her class on dream interpretation. I've loved meeting someone who is passionately pursuing new ways to serve the kingdom with their gifting. I have fallen in love with this beautiful couple (Scott and Mandy) who are uniquely different from one another and yet unified with the power of God’s Spirit. Mandy has such a gift, and is so refreshing how she uses it. You can see Jesus just exude from her and the love she has for Him. Her dream interpretation class was exactly what I was looking for. Gave me clarity and also awareness of my dreams. I highly recommend her.

I have had the privilege and great fortune to have Mandy counsel me and interpret my dreams (biblically) for the last few months. I have spent, on average, 4 hour per month with her. God has, without a shadow of doubt, used her to bring greater clarity, hope, guidance, love, kindness, goodness, encouragement and direction to my life. We have worked with Scott and Mandy both separately and together as a married couple. Mandy has true gift of dream comprehension and a teacher's heart which allows her to add insight along with pointing us back to God for answers, all while equipping us with tools to further our spiritual interpretation skills. Scott has such a gift with Scripture and is a true student of the Master. Through trips to the BWCA with men, Scott has facilitated a physical and spiritual growth simultaneously that is rare.

Mandy is the real deal! I’ve known her for several years and every time I’m with her, I leave her presence with more of God’s presence! I attended Mandy’s dream interpretation workshop and learned so much in just a few short hours. God really does use our dreams as a tool for hearing His voice.

Scott and Mandy came to our home and did a Socratic Teaching with us. It was FANTASTIC! Their grasp and understanding of both Greek and Hebrew is expansive and added depth and richness to a passage with which we were already familiar. Scott and Mandy are absolutely phenomenal! I had the incredible honor and privilege of serving with (and getting to know/absolutely fall in love with!) Mandy on work crew at Captivating Advanced this past October. It turned out that Scott was teaching a leadership seminar to a large corporation near my family in Washington, DC the following week so Mandy came along with him for a night of teaching in our home. Jesus brought a beautiful small group of our friends together for some time of Socratic teaching under Scott and Mandy...and WOW!!! I had no idea what to expect (and to be a little honest Socratic teaching sounded a bit boring to my ADD free spirited mind...:)) but we could have gone on all night! It was so rich, so deep, so engaging and so encouraging as we dove deeper into the heart of our Father, our Lover and our King collectively as a group!!
