A Socratic Scripture Study entails diving into a specific passage of the Living Word and exploring its richness by looking at some of the wildly expansive and beautiful Hebrew and/or Greek meanings of words as they appear in the original text and then connecting the passage to participants’ lives. (As the facilitators, we do the research and prep surrounding the meanings/significance of the key words and ideas in the passage.) A Socratic Scripture Study involves us guiding the time of study through the frequent use of questions which encourages participants to share their real-time insights, stories, and revelations from God with the group.
