A man needs a deeper understanding of his masculine heart—and why God made him just like that. What if those deep desires in our hearts are telling us the truth, revealing to us the lives we were meant to live? A man must know he is powerful; he must know he has what it takes. The way we handle the heart is everything. Basic is not a retreat about the “seven things a man ought to do to be a nicer guy.” It is a four-day quest into the recovery of a man’s masculine soul, the release of a man’s heart—his passions and his true nature—all given him by God.
We are so excited that you are considering joining us! We want you to know that in addition to the WAH Basic Course, there will be ample time for prayer, worship, introspection, fellowship, service and a lot of fun! Here is some general info about this particular Basic: Sleeping arrangements are 3-4 guys per room with private bathrooms and showers. Bed Linens are provided, however even with climate controlled space, you might consider bringing a Pillow, Sleeping bag, or Extra Blanket to insure your comfort. Meals, snacks, and bottled water will be provided and we will try to accommodate all dietary restrictions to whatever extent possible. (please disclose them on the reservation form below). Activities will include some scheduled (but not required) and some generally available during breaks and free-time. With some being outdoor, indoor, and/or physically demanding, its a good idea to bring appropriate clothing, considering the time of year and weather. Our goal in planning and offering Basic in Iowa is to make it available and inviting to every man open to discovering the Heart that was uniquely designed for him by our Creator.
