Shalom Recovery Center offers a faith based, long term program where women suffering from addictive and destructive behaviors can experience hope, healing, and life transformation.

We provide a long-term caring and encouraging Christian environment where women are given the time and tools to find solutions to emotional, spiritual, and physical needs. We offer a retreat setting located on a 104-acre property in Belton, SC, which includes dorms, a classroom, a chapel, and a scenic pond. Women in recovery may stay up to nine months at Shalom Center, where we offer three sessions of three months each followed by the opportunity to go to our halfway house.

The three-month program focuses on chemical dependency issues utilizing a Christian 12-step workbook, facilitated groups, counseling, and outside recovery support groups. Upon completion women may continue in the six-month program, which focuses on codependency, addressing core issues of destructive relational and life patterns. Upon completion women may continue in the nine-month program, which focuses on developing work skills and gaining confidence through working full-time. The women are assigned responsibilities throughout the ministry.

At Shalom, we believe the Word of God brings healing. We use the Bible as a basis for life-changing solutions in all our programs, which include Bible studies and groups that explore destructive lies we have believed and lived out. We believe a relationship with God and an understanding of Biblical truth provide means to live a productive life. After completion of at least six months, women become eligible to move to Shalom House, our halfway house in Anderson, SC, that offers real-life skills.
