My approach for counseling is from a Christian perspective. I counsel clients of all belief systems because I feel strongly about meeting my clients where they are and not forcing them to be somewhere they are not.
I specialize in working with teenage boys and men as well as a lot of marriage counseling. Many head into life without the proper tools for becoming a man and commonly misunderstand masculinity. My counseling focuses on encouraging men to own their strength. This passion for seeing men live out of their strength is also the foundation for my Father and Son river trips Legacy River Trips. While I am passionate about counseling issues of masculinity, my work is not exclusive to men. I have experience counseling women on a variety of issues that include physical, emotional, verbal and sexual abuse. Many of the wounds inflicted on women have come from the significant men in their lives. My experience as a counselor has shown me that it can be healthy for a woman to process her wounds with a safe man. Part of my work with women focuses on creating the environment for this to happen.
