Good Dads are deeply aware of their divine responsiblity to their kids and their family. But for so many good men, along with that awareness, they secretly carry a heavy burden. Every day they are offering the best of their good fathers' hearts for their families but, in spite of that, are haunted by the fear that it isn't and never will be enough. If you know that burden, if you secretly fear that your fatherhood journey is destined to end in failure and regret, there is hope.

The problem is not you or your heart. The problem for countless good men like you is simply that you lack the clarity for God's design for fatherhood. We have done our best to fulfill our sacred role, but we've never been taught how to do that. The good news is that there is a design for fatherhood and you can learn it.

The Intentional Dad Coaching is a deliberate, conversational, one-on-one process in which we will incorporate instruction, counseling, spiritual growth and direction as well as listening, healing, and intercessory prayer. Through these sessions you will first learn to live as a beloved son and, as you learn to be fathered, you will learn to father your children.

Through The Intentional Dad Coaching process you will learn to:

Understand and embrace your true identity
Walk intimately with God as a beloved son
Gain clarity for God's design for fatherhood
Foster intimacy and trust with your children
Shepherd your kids through the ups and downs of life
Initiate your kids into adulthood with joy and pride

I am a father of three children. I know the secret burden you carry because I carried it too. The Intentional Dad is a ministry born out of my own desire for clarity and understanding for my sacred role with my children. Over time, God met my desire and we began living into that clarity and understanding when my oldest son was 8 years old. Almost a decade later, that journey culminated in the most joyful and emotional experience of my life as his mother and I initiated him into manhood with a powerful and memorable ceremony to seal the moment. The story continues for my daughter who will soon be initiated into womanhood and my youngest son whose intiation journey officially began the same weekend we intiated my oldest son. Vocationally, my background includes, among other things, a Master’s degree in theological studies as well as six years of experience in elementary education. However, the biggest thing I have to offer through The Intentional Dad is my decade plus of experiences shepherding my family through this process and a desire for other men to experience the same indescribable joy for their families as we have known for ours. In four words, my time with Aric has been: life giving & live changing. I am thankful and at a loss of words for how effective and transforming my time with Aric has been. About 24 hours before I found out that my wife was pregnant with our first child, I met Aric. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that God put Aric in my life at just the right moment. After I found out the fantastic news that we were expecting, Aric was one of the first calls we made (after our close family of course). Soon after that, Aric and I began the remarkable process of unpacking all that the Intentional Dad had to offer. Almost a year later, with our son in hand, I can’t put into words how profound and sacred Aric and I’s time together was. I remember before Aric and I started on our journey, my wife and I discussed if we could afford the time and the money that would be required. Now that we are on the back end of things, I can say with confidence that the real question is: can you afford not to? Aric lives his life with dignity and love and it shows in all he does and through the relationships he keeps. Though once it seemed he was merely a coach, Aric has turned into a life long friend and wise mentor of mine. The Intentional Dad is everything it’s promised to be and so much more.

Hey I wanted to write this, not just as Aric’s brother, but also as one of a few that saw the infancy of Intentional Dad. I had a very unique perspective of this, being the Uncle to the gifts that God made for Aric to Father! Believe it or not it also began even before that, with myself and our younger brother Tyler. God built Aric to teach his vision of fatherhood! I believe that with every fiber of my being. I saw the passion the God gave Aric to being the best dad he could be and cast the vision that God has for each of his kids and his niece and nephews. Then I saw that vision begin to grow beyond that to place on his heart a ministry that is coming to fruition and begin to take off now! I also had the privilege of taking my son Aiden through the inaugural steps of Aric’s ministry of anyone besides my nephews and niece. Aiden asked me about wanting to be baptized like his cousin Ian and wanted to go through that because he felt he was ready. So naturally my next call was to Aric! We talked about bringing him through this process and how I would lead him through this walk of understanding and receiving how much he is beloved by God and me! What I wasn’t prepared for is the message that God had for me in this process. The message of forgiveness, love, awesome responsibility that God has entrusted in showing his vision he has for my son Aiden and my daughter Addison on what a warrior really looks like and how God intended them to see him in that. How beloved I am and in turn show how beloved they are and what that means for them. God has his own message for each of us in showing us who we are and what we mean to him. We are beloved sons and daughters who are warriors and heirs to his kingdom! I have discovered my place and am teaching my kids to seek theirs! If you are ready to change yours and your kids lives then The Intentional Dad is your roadmap. You will never regret the journey you get to take and who you get to take it with, your kids, Gods legacy in this world and you get to teach them! I can think of nothing better!

Aric is a father in the truest sense of the word. He is incredibly discerning, and has a knack for digging into the deeper spiritual issues in a given situation. I have personally gained so much from Aric’s friendship over the years, I know that I would not be the man I am today without him. I look up to him so much as the type of dad I want to be one day.

I’ve really enjoyed getting to know Aric and seeing his heart for helping others, especially dads. He is authentic and easy to be very open and honest with. He has never made me feel judged or like I need to pretend to be something I’m not. I appreciate that he tries to see my point of view and understand my feelings. He has really encouraged my son and shown him so much patience and kindness. I pray his ministry is an awesome blessing to many.

As a teenage daughter, I would say that people tend to underestimate the importance of teenage years. A lot of fun and beautiful moments yes, but many moments where deep lies and inner struggles are planted that stick with you for the rest of your life if not tended to. I have had so many pivotal moments in my life, and I have no idea where I would be without such a strong father. Teen girls just want to know that they are cherished, and even though many daughters can make it seem like we want to get away from parents, deep down we need them so much. Because of such a deep relationship with my father from a very young age, I wouldn’t so much run from him as I got older, but run to him for the moments all hope felt lost.
