We all have a story.  Most include elements of darkness, struggle, and pain.  Freedom’s Dance is committed to helping men, couples, and parents examine their stories and begin to write a new story of authenticity, freedom, joy, and intimacy that we believe Christ intended for each of us. (Galatians 5:1)

Freedom’s Dance provides life coaching to men, relationship coaching for couples, and parents coaching for both new parents and parents who need help in understanding and responding to all the challenges involved in raising children.   Freedom’s Dance also provides premarital counseling classes for both those entering into their first marriage and those getting re-married after a divorce.  In addition, Steve and Tami have led marriage retreats and seminars, and Steve is available to men’s groups for retreats or as a speaker for men’s events.

Steve has a Masters in Social Work and worked for 21 years as a professional counselor in a Christian counseling practice. He’s attended Ransomed Heart's Boot Camp and Advanced Platoon Leaders Training while developing a passion for working with men.  In 2005 he had to face a significant moral, professional, and personal failure which necessitated him leaving his counseling career to face those issues.  After digging into his own issues and examining his story, he is moving back towards walking with men and helping them examine their own stories as a life and spiritual coach. 

Tami has a BA in Family Life Education and has worked for many years assisting young families establish healthy environment for their children to grow and develop physically, emotionally, and spiritually. She has been working since 2006 in a mentoring organization, training adult volunteers to work with children in need of positive adult relationships.  She has a passion from coaching young parents and helping them understand the developmental needs of their children.  She is also is committed to walking with couples in crisis, having been through a journey of healing in her own marriage.

Together Steve and Tami work with couples who desire to strengthen their relationship.  This may be with couples who desire to strengthen an already good relationship, or couples who have struggled in their marriage for a long time and need to make significant changes.  Steve and Tami have been through their own “valley of the shadow” and have found that Christ is beginning to use that experience to walk with and impact other marriages who are in or have been in crisis.  They have also developed a marriage retreat, called “Restoring Eden; The Journey and Adventure of a Christ-centered Marriage”, utilizing the Ransomed Heart materials and their own story, to help couples examine their own stories and promote positive change.
