Yielded to the Father is a ministry dedicated to helping people experience more of God in their lives and was started in 2014 by Robert Kaphan. Robert is an experienced leader and teacher of the Wild At Heart material and he has seen many men become men of integrity and character through the process of studying and discussing the book Wild At Heart using the Band Of Brothers videos and the Wild At Heart small group study guide.
Robert is offering to be a mentor to any man who is struggling to be a true man of God - you may be struggling with an addiction that has impacted your relationships, going through a painful separation or divorce or just feeling stuck in your journey with Christ. Whatever the circumstances studying the Wild At Heart material with a mentor who is able to hear your story with fresh ears may be just what you need.
As a mentor, Robert will assist you to grasp and apply the deeper truths of the Wild At Heart material in a peer-to-peer relationship. Please note that this is not an accountability relationship but, as the relationship develops through the study and discussion of the Wild At Heart material, the time you spend with Robert as a mentor will be invaluable to your growth to become the man God intends you to be.

True man of God
I remember meeting Robert quite some time ago now, and finding out that he held a Bible study where we used to work. During those days, I was going through some very bad personal issues. The Bible study helped more than I thought possible, and it also gave me a better understanding of what being a true Christian is. Naturally, I wanted more. Eventually Robert and I started talking more, and more about my personal struggles at the time, and he would often pray for me, (as he still does) and guide me towards Christ, while providing encouraging words. He is a true Christian warrior. He has a passionate heart, and wonderful commitment to Christ. And he truly wants to help lead us to our Lord.

Robert Kaphan
I have had the opportunity to go through 2 small group sessions with Robert, the Wild at Heart and Waking the Dead series. Robert has a true heart for God and is passionate about seeing men reach their spiritual potential. He helped me understand my wound and work through it, and I would highly recommend any man who is struggling with familial relationships to reach out to him.

Robert Man of Valor
I have known Robert for many years. I have lost track of the time. We work together in presenting Wild at Heart at weekend Boot Camps in the Pocono Mountains PA. In recent months we have not had much in the way of face to face contacts but I know he is praying for me as I do for him daily. We started a routine a few years ago of setting our alarm for 5:45 am each day to pray specifically for each. I just recently found out he has begun a separate mentoring program. Robert is a Man of Valor, a committed follower of Jesus Christ and has an unbelievable heart for men to experience the deepest relationship with Jesus Christ possible. He is an encourager, a prayer warrior, compassionate, leads by example. If you are struggling and looking for someone to mentor you on journey through the Christian Life I can not think of anyone I would recommend. more than Robert. Keep going strong my friend.

Resignation for Courage
The Wild At Heart book introduced me to a life that exchanged resignation for courage. In March 2015, I went to my first Wild at Heart Bootcamp, co-hosted by Robert, where key points from the book were illustrated more fully through movies. Most ministries send you home from a conference with little to no further contact. In time, forgetfulness combined with past and present sins prevent us from seeing the presence of a compassionate God anymore and a loss of heart results. Following Robert's Bootcamp, he has offered weekly conference calls to encourage the attendees to continue on in what we learned. Each week's discussion is different, but current, and always filled with encouragement, stories of the past to help us now, and times to battle for each other in prayer. Robert has chosen to be my friend and commit himself to my continued growth ever since the Bootcamp. He is, outside of my immediate family, my closest friend. I am thankful to count him a brother and mentor in Christ.

Contact Him
I've known Robert for a long time. In fact, we met on a Wild at Heart Retreat back in ... 2009? We've gotten together every couple of months since and one thing about Robert that I can tell you for sure - he believes in the message of Wild at Heart AND has diligently and intentionally walked through it himself. I marvel at his bravery and wisdom when it comes to the things that men battle in everyday life. He has ministered to my heart deeply over the years. If you're looking to become more of the man that God created you to be, contact Robert - he will help you.

Robert is an excellent mentor
When I was going through a difficult time in my marriage, God led me to Robert for a reason. I initially found Robert to be an excellent listener. We discussed my circumstances confidentially and then he suggested we go through the Wild at Heart book and study material. I soon realized that I was not beginning a quest to save my marriage, but journeying to establish my wayward heart with Jesus. We went through the book and study over a two month period. Through the study and interactive discussions with Robert, I have discovered wounds from my past and how I could overcome them. I have been a Christian for over 20 years, but have not experienced the intimacy and honesty with Christ that I am experiencing now as a result of my study with Robert. Robert has a gentleness about him, yet fierce strength when it comes to battling spiritual warfare. I fully endorse Robert as a mentor and encourage you to reach out to him.
