A man needs a deeper understanding of his masculine heart—and why God made him just like that. What if those deep desires in our hearts are telling us the truth, revealing to us the lives we were meant to live? A man must know he is powerful; he must know he has what it takes. The way we handle the heart is everything. Basic is not a retreat about the “seven things a man ought to do to be a nicer guy.” It is a four-day quest into the recovery of a man’s masculine soul, the release of a man’s heart—his passions and his true nature—all given him by God.
Do you find it hard to be spiritually fed at your church or small group? Would you like to go deeper as a man into your “adventure to live, your beauty to rescue, and the battle you must fight?” As major themes of Wild at Heart BASIC you will discover new answers and questions for your journey. Come join us, the men of Taiwan Missionary Fellowship October 19-22 in Changhua at the Manresa Center seeking the story we were meant to live.
Built into the BASIC retreat schedule are “covenants of silence” so men have dedicated time to hear from God, journal, and go deeper into the issues raised in the teachings. BASIC Wild at Heart Boot Camp is for men ready to enter a time of soul-searching and fellowship. We are setting the table for you to find like-hearted men who can walk with you in your masculine spiritual journey.
The typical attendee is a TMF male, but we welcome any interested man 20 years of age & older not needing translation from English. Non-Christians may feel comfortable attending as well.
Retreat fee covers all lodging, meals, and bedding. Cost is $3500 TWD if registered before September 20, if registered later, cost is $4000 TWD. Registration closes on September 30. BASIC begins with dinner Monday October 19 and concludes with lunch on Thursday at noon.
